The technicians will also play a vital role in assisting with installations, carrying out repairs, and ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidates must have solid technical knowledge, hands-on experience with electronics, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

The work will involve a range of tasks, from installing and setting up machines to repairing faulty equipment and ensuring everything is running smoothly for operators at the sites. It is crucial for the technicians to be proactive, highly organized, and able to communicate clearly with site operators. Key Responsibilities:

  1. On-site Technical Support:
    The primary responsibility of the Field Technician is to provide excellent technical support at the assigned sites. This includes completing daily technical support tasks such as software upgrades, bill validator upgrades, machine conversions, force bets, and equipment installations. You will be expected to complete these tasks neatly and on schedule as per the task lists provided by the Technical Support team.In addition to the physical work, clear communication with site operators is essential. You will need to keep the operators informed about your work and share relevant updates regarding any maintenance or repairs. Your ability to communicate effectively ensures that any concerns or questions from the site operators are addressed promptly and accurately.You will also provide troubleshooting support when needed. Sometimes, the issues at the site may not be immediately clear, so you may need to assist the operators over the phone. Your troubleshooting expertise and quick thinking will help resolve issues as efficiently as possible. You must be ready to handle any technical challenges that come your way.
  2. Machine and Parts Repairs:
    Field Technicians are responsible for conducting repairs and maintenance on all gaming machines (LPMs) and related equipment on-site. This role demands attention to detail and the ability to diagnose and fix problems efficiently. Whether it’s a machine that’s not working properly or some parts that need replacing, you will play a key role in getting everything back up and running smoothly.Your work doesn’t stop at just repairing faulty machines. You’ll also need to ensure that all tasks are properly recorded in the system. This includes recording calls, maintenance actions, and other tasks in the CRM Mobile and SDL systems. It’s important that every step is documented accurately for future reference.In addition to on-site repairs, you will also be responsible for repairing LPM spares and other gaming equipment in the workshop. Once repaired, these parts can be reused at other locations, so ensuring quality repairs is vital. Your efficiency and attention to detail will directly impact the speed at which repairs are completed and the quality of the work.You will also be required to check and ensure the optimum operation of all gaming equipment, including CCTV systems, chairs, signage, and security systems. Proper functioning of all these components is crucial to the overall experience at the site. You’ll need to regularly perform checks and ensure everything is working as expected.Preventative maintenance is also part of your responsibilities. Each month, you will need to perform scheduled preventative maintenance at all sites, ensuring that all equipment remains in good condition and any potential issues are identified early. After completing the maintenance, you’ll submit checklists to the Technical Manager for auditing and filing.
  3. Site Installations:
    Another key responsibility is assisting with installations. As part of the installation process, you will ensure that new equipment is set up according to specifications and compliance standards. This includes installing gaming machines and setting up systems to ensure everything works smoothly.You will also be responsible for ensuring that the product appearance matches the brand’s standards. This means making sure that machines, signage, and the overall site fit-out reflect the company’s image and comply with relevant regulations. Attention to detail here is crucial, as the presentation of the equipment contributes to the overall experience at the site.In addition to setting up machines, you will be tasked with installing and testing CCTV systems. It’s essential to ensure that all cameras are positioned correctly, working properly, and meeting the standards for security. Similarly, you will need to perform tests to ensure that all components of the gaming machines (LPMs and DLs) are set up correctly and function properly.After completing the installation tasks, you will report back to the Technical Manager on your progress, keeping them informed on the status of your work and any issues you may have encountered. Your communication with the manager helps ensure everything is on track and in line with expectations.
  4. Compliance and Housekeeping:
    Ensuring that all tasks are performed in compliance with internal policies, as well as regulatory requirements, is critical in this role. You must adhere to all guidelines set by the company and the Gambling Authority to maintain the integrity of the work being performed.Proper use of vehicles and tools is another important aspect of the role. You will be required to complete vehicle usage forms on a daily basis to track the use of company vehicles. Similarly, when using stock from the warehouse, you will need to sign out items, ensuring that the tools and parts you need are available and properly accounted for. You will also be responsible for conducting monthly stock counts and submitting the necessary inventory usage forms to the Warehouse Controller. This ensures that the stock levels remain accurate, and any items that have been used are properly recorded.Adherence to procedures is crucial to ensure that all processes are carried out correctly. This includes completing all operational forms, such as the Preventative Maintenance Checklists, Vehicle Checklists, and Tech Maintenance Registers. By keeping these forms up-to-date, you will help maintain the smooth operation of the business and assist with future audits.Reporting any non-compliance at the sites is another key responsibility. You will need to quickly identify any issues that do not meet the required standards and report them to the appropriate individuals. Ensuring compliance is not just about following the rules; it’s about making sure that the work is done safely, effectively, and in line with the expectations of both the company and the authorities.As part of maintaining compliance, you will also need to ensure that the Central Electronic Monitoring System (CEMS) is updated as necessary. This involves reflecting any commissioning, alterations, or decommissioning of LPMs in the system. Properly updating this system ensures that all information is accurate and current.
  5. General Site Support:
    As part of your role, you may also be asked to assist with additional projects at different sites. These projects could range from minor repairs to more significant site-specific tasks. Your flexibility and willingness to contribute to the overall success of the team are key.Finally, ensuring that the Central Electronic Monitoring System (CEMS) is properly updated is a vital part of maintaining the integrity of the work at each site. Keeping accurate records and data within the system helps provide valuable information for troubleshooting and ensuring that everything runs smoothly.

Qualifications & Experience:
To qualify for this role, candidates must possess the following:

  • A relevant vocational or technical qualification, such as Electronics.
  • 2-3 years of experience working in electronics, preferably with experience at the circuit board level.
  • A solid understanding of electrical principles is essential.
  • An Employee Gaming License is required to work in this role.
  • A valid Driver’s License is necessary to travel between sites.

Special Working Conditions:
This role requires flexibility, and candidates must be willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays. Travel between sites is also required, so candidates should be comfortable with the potential for regular travel.

Additionally, a good level of eyesight is necessary, as you will need to work with small components and be able to identify issues with machines. You must also be physically capable of handling and moving heavy equipment, as lifting and installing gaming machines and other equipment will be part of your day-to-day tasks.
